Dennis J. Reardon
Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, September 17, 1944. Educated at Tulane University, New Orleans, 1962-63; University of Kansas, Lawrence (Hopkins Award, 1965, 1966), 1963-66, B.A. in English (cum laude) 1966; Indiana University, Bloomington, 1966-67. Served in the U.S. Army, 1968-69. Married in 1971 (separated); one daughter. Playwright-in-residence, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (Shubert Fellow, 1970; Hopwood Award, 1971), 1970-71, and Hartwick College, Oneonta, New York. Since 1985 member of the English Department, State University of New York, Albany. Recipient: Creative Artists Public Service grant, 1984; Weissberger Foundation award, 1985; National Play Award, 1986; National Endowment for the Arts fellowship, 1986.
