George Axelrod

Born in New York City, 9 June 1922. Served in the United States Army Signal Corps during World War II. Married 1) Gloria Washburn in 1942 (divorced 1954), two sons; 2) Joan Stanton in 1954, one daughter. Film director and producer. Recipient: Writers Guild of America West award, for screenplay, 1962.
